How to play Block Blast

1. Review the three available pieces before making your first move.
2. Drag a piece onto empty cells without overlapping blocks already on the board.
3. Complete a full horizontal row or vertical column to clear those cells and score points.
4. Continue until none of the available pieces can fit in the remaining space.

Practical strategy

Evaluate all three pieces

A move that fits the first piece may block the only useful position for a larger shape. Plan a workable location for all three pieces before committing.

Protect flexible space

Avoid splitting the board into narrow pockets. Larger open areas can accept more shapes and give you more options on the next turn.

Use awkward pieces early

Large squares and long pieces have fewer possible placements. When the board is open, place restrictive shapes before small pieces that can fill gaps later.

Clear lines without creating isolated holes

A line clear is useful only if the remaining board stays playable. Check the cells left behind and avoid one-cell gaps that few pieces can fill.
